I took a few more shots of the current progress of the car. I finally found a few dings under all that bondo. On the left door it had some dents then the one I saw when I originally bought it. It’s coming along slowly. I am thinking of doing a front bumper delete and eventually searching down an older style rear bumper. I threw in some shots of the new steering wheel and with the old one held in place. I like the feel a lot more and it looks much nicer.
It’s been a bit rainy and I’ve been busy with other things so the bmw work slowed a bit. I did get to take some more paint off the car and get started on the other side. I also got a new steering wheel but I’ll add up some pictures later. Here is some paint removal.
Took a hike last weekend to Samuel P. Taylor state part up Mt. Tamapias. Went with Steve and Davey for preparation of our more strenuous multi night hike later in the year.
I heard the other day they came out with google earth for your iPhone or iPod touch. Seems to work out pretty well especially considering it’s on a phone. Still has some bugs and lags up but def. Cool none the less.
I decided to try and make a little fire in the fireplace. First I had to clear a path to it through all the crap that’s stacked in front of it. Then I got it started easily enough but since it has sat for so long without being used it started to smoke into the house a bit. I opened up some of the windows and kept at it. Eventually it started to burn all the junk in the chineny out and pull the smoke up better. While I was getting it going I noticed the while metal trim front was just propped up against the brick and not really attatched anymore so I kinda fixed it but might have to work on that when it doesn’t have a fire in it. Or maybe I should just focus on getting out of here and write this place off as a lost cause. Sad to see something that could be so nice rot away.
Dennys isnt really the greatest place but they are close by, serve breakfast all day and are open very late. Maybe 24 hours. They also have these cool coke glasses. I hope they are cleaned well. 
The plants in the frog tank are getting quite large. Happy they are growing so well. Frogs are doing well also. The tadpole still has not sprouted legs but hopefully soon.
Chesley and Dillan were posing on the stairs today in the same way so I grabbed a picture.
Here it is the day after I got it home. I’ve done a bit of work since and hopefully it’s on it’s way to looking better.
This is my work radio. Complete with iPod dock. It’s nice cause it keeps my phone or iPod charged up and it plays pretty well. It works for the iPhone but since it is a bit taller it won’t close the protective door. Works with the shorter iPods though. That’s my only grip about it. Pandora radio app on my phone and you get a nice selection of customized commercial free songs all day long.
